Gratitude Garden

Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Roxuh handles information in Gratitude Garden, an iOS app for written gratitude, voice notes, daily streaks, and a growing garden.

Effective September 13, 2026

Terms of Use

Your journal stays on your device

Gratitude Garden does not require a Roxuh account. Saved journal text, voice recordings, entry dates, and garden progress are stored locally on your device. We do not upload journal text or audio to Roxuh, PostHog, or RevenueCat.

Text and voice notes are saved as journal entries only when you tap Save. Unsaved changes are not restored after closing the editor. Recording audio uses a temporary file, which is removed when the recording is finished or canceled.

The app does not provide its own cloud journal sync. Your device’s backup settings may include app data in backups managed by Apple. Those backups are controlled through your Apple account and device settings.

Microphone and reminders

Microphone access is requested when you choose to record a voice note. You can use written notes without granting microphone access, and you can change this permission in iOS Settings.

If you enable reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device. Reminder preferences are stored locally. You can change or disable notifications in iOS Settings.

App analytics

We use PostHog to understand how the app is used and improve it. We send selected events such as onboarding steps, reminder choices, paywall views, whether an entry was saved, and purchase outcomes. Analytics can include your fixed-choice onboarding answers about motivation, gratitude experience, and how you discovered the app.

Events may be associated with an automatically generated identifier and technical information such as app version, device model, and operating system. Network requests also expose an IP address to the receiving service. The app sends events to PostHog’s US endpoint and disables IP-based location enrichment for these events.

Journal text and recordings are never included in these analytics events. Automatic screen and interaction capture, session replay, and automatic error capture are disabled in the app’s analytics configuration. We do not use this information for personalized advertising.

Purchases and subscriptions

Apple processes in-app purchases. RevenueCat helps verify purchases, restore access, and manage Premium subscription status. This involves an automatically generated app user identifier, purchase and transaction information, subscription status, and technical information needed to provide the service.

Roxuh does not receive your full payment card details. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple account settings. Deleting Gratitude Garden does not cancel a subscription.

How information is used and shared

Information is used to provide the app, keep saved entries on your device, calculate progress, deliver requested reminders, improve the product, manage Premium access, and respond to support requests. If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include.

We share the service information described above with Apple, RevenueCat, and PostHog for their respective functions. We do not sell your journal content or personal information. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or to protect legal rights and service security.

Service providers may process information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Their processing is subject to applicable data protection requirements and the arrangements governing their services.

Retention and deletion

Saved journal entries and recordings remain on your device until you delete them in the app or remove the app and its data. Offloading the app may preserve its data. Copies in device backups must be managed separately through your backup settings.

Analytics, support, and purchase records may remain with us or our service providers after the app is deleted. We retain such information as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including operating the service, addressing support requests, and meeting legal obligations. Contact us to request deletion of information we can identify and control; some transaction records may need to be retained by Apple or other providers.

Your privacy choices and rights

You can skip onboarding questions, manage microphone and notification permissions in iOS Settings, delete saved entries in the app, and manage subscriptions with Apple.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, or complain to a data protection authority. Email [email protected] to make a request. Because we do not require an account, we may need additional information to locate records associated with your use of the app.

Where applicable, we process information to provide requested services and purchases, pursue legitimate interests in maintaining and improving the app, comply with legal obligations, or with consent where required.

Security and policy updates

We use the security features of iOS and our service providers to help protect information. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. Keep your device protected and review its backup settings.

We may update this policy as the app changes. The effective date above identifies the latest version.
